For me, this is not simply a new position. It is a return to my roots, at a time when I have been missing home more than ever. Over the past several years, I have had the opportunity to experience education in different parts of the world. I studied at the University of Bergen, Norway, where I gained a deeper of education, society and human development. Before that, I studied at Ajou University, South Korea, on an Academic Excellence Scholarship.
Make it stand out
Some journeys take us away from home so that, one day, we can return with a different perspective. I am very happy and humbled to share that I have taken responsibility as the Principal of Pentagon International School, Tangail.
I have taught at both university and school levels, conducted research, worked with students from different backgrounds, and experienced educational environments outside Bangladesh. Before moving abroad, I also spent two years working at an English-medium school. Living and studying abroad taught me something that I now value more than ever: good education is not only about moving faster; it is about helping children grow better.
In many of the educational environments I experienced in Europe and elsewhere, I saw an emphasis on allowing children to learn with curiosity, develop independence, spend meaningful time, explore their interests and become confident human beings. Academic achievement matters, but it is only one part of education.
A child's well-being, brain development, curiosity, confidence, discipline, empathy, creativity and character matter just as much. That is the kind of educational environment I want to help build at Pentagon International School.
Coming back to Tangail was deeply personal for me. Somehow, life brought me to Pentagon International School and very quickly, this place began to feel special. I have genuinely fallen in love with the school, our students and our teachers. Now, I want to bring everything I have learned from my academic journey, teaching experience, research and international exposure back to my own community.
My vision for Pentagon is simple but ambitious:
Strong academics.
Meaningful extracurricular activities.
Healthy minds and bodies.
Curious and confident learners.
Good manners and strong character.
And, above all, children who are happy to come to school and proud of who they are becoming.
I want our students to learn mathematics and science, languages and technology, but I also want them to learn how to think, communicate, cooperate, lead, create, question, respect others and handle life with confidence.
I want our teachers to feel respected, supported and continuously encouraged to grow as educators. And I want parents to feel that when they send their children to Pentagon, they are not simply sending them to an institution for academic results. They are placing them in an environment where their children's education, development and well-being genuinely matter.
There is still a lot to do. We are at the beginning of an exciting journey, and I know meaningful change takes time, consistency and teamwork. But I also know what I want Pentagon International School to become.
A school that Tangail can be proud of.
A school where children receive a meaningful education.
A school where learning goes beyond textbooks.
A school where academic excellence and character development grow together.
I am grateful to the management, teachers, students and parents who have welcomed me into this community. I came back to my hometown looking for a sense of belonging. Perhaps I found it here. Pentagon International School is entering a new chapter, and I am honoured to be a part of it.
Thanks, and regards.
Pentagon International School-
Pentagon International School
Thanks, and regards.
